"Kevin became concerned about the environment in his first year of University, 2002/2003. Once this concern was felt he knew he had to switch programs, so he transferred to a Bachelors in Environmental Conservation Sciences.

During his 4 years at the U of A Kevin volunteered for multiple environmental organizations and student groups. He wanted to learn as much as he could so he could make choices that would benefit the global community.

In 2006 he graduated and then proceeded to run into a bit of a "speed bump". He could not find work that he felt good about. Reasons for this discontent ranged from employers that had questionable morals to jobs that seemed to do little to promote biodiversity.

At this time Kevin fully realized how unique his definition of "sustainable culture" is. For the next 6 years he refined his views and compared any and all models of sustainability. He was never shy about questioning industry standards, or for that matter what he learned in University. Kevin simply wanted to find the best way to promote healthy ecosystems.

In 2012 he was introduced to Permaculture. Kevin has since embraced this methodology because it allows him to do "something today for tomorrow" and it reaches his "high personal standards". In June 2013 he graduated from the 72 hour Permaculture Design Course. He hopes to help spread this way of living he endorses."
